Fairfield, CT - Junior Carisa Eye (Nesconset, NY) has been named to the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches' Association All-Mideast Region Second Team. This is the second straight year that Eye has garnered All-Region honors after being named to the first team in 2006. It's the fifth consecutive year that SHU has placed at least one player on the All-Region squad.

Eye, who was named First Team All-Northeast Conference by the league's coaches, led the team and was third in the league in scoring this season, netting 13 goals. She scored four game winning goals and had nine multi-point games. She ran off a streak of five straight games with a goal from September 23-October 10.

Sacred Heart finished the season 8-11 overall and 4-3 in Northeast Conference play, qualifying for their eighth consecutive Northeast Conference tournament.
