Shannon Bush joins the Pioneer coaching staff as a full-time assistant for the 2007-08 season. Bush joined Coach Swanson's staff last season as a graduate assistant coach and was promoted to a full-time assistant in the offseason. She will be responsible for coaching the guard positions, scheduling, assisting with film exchange, team academic monitoring along with game planning, scouting and on-court assistance.

Bush, a Doylestown, Pennsylvania native, had a stellar playing career for the College of Holy Cross, playing for the Crusaders from 2002 through 2006. She captained the team her senior season leading the squad to two Patriot League Championships and a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances. A Patriot League All-Rookie Team guard her freshman year, Bush finished her four-year career playing in 111 games. She totaled 706 points, 253 rebounds and 226 assists in her career. She finished the 2005-06 season second on the team in assists (85 assists), third on the team in points (310 points), points per game (10.3ppg) and steals (44 steals) and fourth on the team in rebounds (116 rebounds) and rebounds per game (3.9 rpg). Bush led the team in three-point field goals (40 made three-point field goals).

She finished her senior season ranked in the Patriot League Top 15 in four different categories, including scoring (15th), assists (8th), steals (10th) and three-point field goals made (9th). Bush graduated in 2006 with a degree in history.

She is currently working towards a Master's in Arts and Teaching (MAT) at Sacred Heart.
