Three Pioneer Teams Singled Out by NCAA For Academic Performance

Three Sacred Heart University teams are included in the 19 teams, representing eight institutions, in the Northeast Conference recognized by the NCAA in their latest Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores. The three SHU teams singled out were men's ice hockey, men's volleyball and women's rowing. [+]

Men's Volleyball Drops Season Finale to New Haven, 3-1

Senior Chirs Lennon had a match high 19 kills and added 18 assists to lead the University of New Haven men's volleyball to a 3-1 win over EIVA opponent Sacred Heart University on Thursday night at Charger Gymnasium. The Chargers prevailed 30-26, 30-20, 18-30 and 30-23. [+]

Senior Jon Wintermeyer had 16 kills in 16 attempts to record a perfect hitting percentage and junior Devin Zolnowski added 12 kills to lead New York University to a 3-0 sweep of Sacred Heart in EIVA action Saturday afternoon at the Pitt Center.
