Sacred Heart University head football coach Paul Gorham announced the signing of student-athletes John Watts (Jacksonville, FL) and Rock Tate (Lantana, FL) to National Letters of Intent for the upcoming 2008 season bringing the size of this year's recruiting class to 23 players.

John Watts (Jacksonville, FL) - Offensive Line - Bartram Trail H.S. Watts is a 6'3", 275 pound offensive lineman from Bartram Trail High School in Jacksonville, Florida. A team captain, Watts was named first team All-District and second team all-county.

Rock Tate (Lantan, FL) - Wide Receiver - Cardinal Newman H.S. At 6'3", 190 pounds, Tate was a three-sport star at Cardinal Newman High School, competiting in football, basketball and lacrosse. As a senior, Tate scored five touchdowns at the wide reciever and intercepted five passes as a defensive back. He was named team MVP and was an all-state, second team selection.
